Subject: O-320...AMAZING!

August 22, 2001

Hello ECI,

We are quickly approaching 300 hours on our Lycoming 0-320 engine that was overhauled using ECI equipment. It is in our 1969 Cherokee 140. We used new ClassicCast heads and CermiNil cylinders. You guys also performed the ADs on the Crankshaft and case.

I just want to tell you that it is running GREAT! We have run it hard and have never had ANY problem. I use Aeroshell 15W50 semisynthetic oil in it and never add any oil between our 25 to 35 hour changes. When it had 25 hours on it we flew it from Houston to San Francisco (16 hours, wide open) it used less than 1/2 of a quart of oil...AMAZING! With 45 hours on it we flew it from San Francisco to Oshkosh (31 hours, wide open) and used only one quart. Most of the folks around here don't believe it but it is a fact.

Subject: Cylinders are in good condition after 50 hours

January 13, 2002

I wanted to let you know the results after 50 hours of operation on new...0-200A cylinders.

The oil and oil filter has been changed twice without "ANY" oil consumption. The spark plugs were inspected any found to be in good condition. I use FAA approved AVBLEND additive in the oil and FAA approved TCP additive in the 100LL fuel.
